The Most Anticipated Games Coming Out in 2022
Whether you play competitively, recreationally, or just once in a blue moon, video games and gaming, in general, are a good way to relax after a long day. Over the years, many video games have been made into series, with some standing on their own. Below is a list of the most anticipated video games coming out in 2022.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
For all Star Wars fans out there, the wait can hopefully be over by the Spring of 2022 when Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is released. This will encapsulate episodes 1-9 of the Star Wars Franchise dating from the 1977 original movie all the way up to Episode 9 in 2019. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh OS.
Elden Ring
With the help of Game of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring will be similar to Dark Souls in a way and will introduce stealth systems and mounted combat. Elden Ring will be an action role-playing game (RPG) based in the realm of Lands Between, after the destruction of the Elden Ring. Elden Ring will be available on Microsoft Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Starfield
Coming out in November 2022, made by Bethesda comes Starfield, which is also an RPG. The game starts out with an astronaut climbing into a spaceship with the intent of exploring the universe and seeing what is beyond the space rock the astronaut is currently on. Video game designer Todd Howard describes it as “like Skyrim in space.”
Starfield will be available to play on the Xbox Series X and Microsoft Windows.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Coming out in mid-January of the new year, Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be set in the ancient Sinnoh region. People from all over the world frequent their time exploring. As the main character, you are given a partner Pokemon from a professor. It is your job to help catch every Pokemon in order to aid Sinnoh in creating a Pokedex. Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
Horizon Forbidden West
Coming out as a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn on February 18th, Horizon Forbidden West takes place six months after the events of Zero Dawn and has a huntress sent from Utah to the Pacific Coast to find out the cause of the plague that kills those it. infects.
